Living in Hawaii her whole life, Clara Stryder is more than accustomed to uncertainty. The people she sees walking along the beach today she most likely won't see tomorrow. The waves that crash against the shore today might not even make it to the shoreline tomorrow. The food that she has on her table today, her sister might not be able to afford tomorrow. The parents that were supposed to be there for her, her whole life are currently six feet underground. Nothing is ever certain for her. And after another death strikes her life, Clara does the only thing that any seventeen year old girl with nothing to loose would do. She decides to take a trip to the main land along with an ex-drug addict and her maybe boyfriend, to try to find some answers to the accidental death that has effected all of their lives. They decide to meet the people who's lives have been saved to the one that they have lost. Along the way they try to learn the answer to a very important question; why are we here? But as they all soon find out, inner demons get in the way of that and if they want to figure out the mystery they're going to have to try to put things together one piece at a time. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

What if death was not the end, but only the beginning? Kayce is a pessimistic teenager with a complicated past. She never cared to get to know new people and has given up on most of the people already in her life. Once Jay Harrison arrives at Williston High School, Kayce thinks she is going crazy because this new kid is different, and she can feel it. After finding out that he is hiding something, she is prepared to do whatever it takes to discover his secret. And finally, she pays the ultimate price. But her experience begs the most thought-provoking question that no one has been forced to ask until now: Is death the time life ends, or is it when it begins? WARNING: Many adult related concepts are addressed (Depression, sex, self harm, etc.)
