These were all things people said about the notorious book, The Book of Legends, that just mysteriously appeared. No body knows where it went, where it came from, where it went before. Not even Cotton Eyed Joe so when it was found, everybody was scrambling to decode it.
But it was in an ancient dialect that nobody knew. Everybody advertised how there was a reward for who can read it and people lined up. Only two people could read the book. So nobody knew what it said. Until they caught a break.
Little Jabari Hardy was the son of Ramla, the famous woman that overthrew a drug ring and shared everything she knew about the Book of Legends. Jabari shared his mother's gift of being able to read the book and so he had to go into hiding. Only five people know that he can read the book but when there's a sudden attack and he's forced into the open, will it be more than five people who know?
