Being the smartest student in every class isn't as empowering as you'd guess. It actually tends to make you a target, Scarlett has discovered, and a heavily sighted target at that. It does mean that she's graduating three years ahead of schedule, and got a very nice job as a biomedical scientist, and she's done it all on a full ride scholarship.
A nice job, no student loans, it would seem like she's got it all set up and ready to go. That is, of course, until she unwillingly gets roped into working with the infamous avengers to stop a dangerous weaponized disease.
