Layla can't wait to leave for her first year of college. She hates her "perfect" mother who blames her for everything even her fathers death. Her boyfriend, Jackson, is also excited to leave for college. He loves his familiar small town, but can't stand being there with all the bad memories floating around.

Layla has been with Jackson since the beginning of their 8th grade year and is starting to tire of their unsuccessful relationship. Jackson is rude, selfish, and unloving towards Layla, while Layla is trying her hardest to keep their doomed relationship alive.

Read as Layla tries to keep up with Jacksons unending mood swings and out bursts. While trying to keep her life in check as she goes through her first year of college.
