Simon Lewis, now an ordinary human who has lost his memory of majority of the Shadowhunter world, is now training to ascend to become a Shadowhunter.

While trying to figure out the missing parts of his life and his relationship with Isabelle someone unexpected shows up questioning all of his choices and thoughts.

Simon now faces the dilemma of choosing between the familiar and the unknown.
