Ethan Carlisle is just a normal kid, that is if you consider being bullied into a life of self hate, self harm, and suicidal tendencies normal. You see, Ethan has a tough life. He's always been bullied for the way he looks and for his social habits. He absolutely hates his llife, and can no longer bear to live it. So what does he do? He tries to committ suicide. When it doesn't work, he realizes that he never really wanted to die. He just wanted to escape the labrynth of suffering. So he moves, he, his brother, and his drunken Mother pack up and move from Albany, New York to Gatlin, South Carolina. Everything is great, then he meets a girl. But not just any girl. Marceline "Snow" Todd is the most beautiful girl he's ever seen. And she likes him. She actually likes him. But how can he ever be in a relationship with some when he has so many secrets? Little does he know, Snow has secrets too.

Meadow was sent to finish her Senior year in a small town with her Aunt Tilly and Uncle Martin because her mother can't deal with her and her depression any longer. Meadow keeps to herself and tries hard not to draw any attention to herself. No guy likes her and she has no friends. She feels that the only thing left to do is to end her life.....Then she meets the 'badboy' of the school, Ryker. Ryker is also a Senior in high school and everybody knows him as the 'badboy' which he was named from the many rumors througout the years that were told about him. He doesn't care what others think and plans to leave town after graduation. He has a small group of friends of school but they are ones he can trust. He doesn't care about popularity and thinks it's amusing more than ever to see the girls want him. He tries to mind his own business and isn't interested in getting too attached and involved with anyone. So he just messes around. That is, until he meets the new girl who immediately draws his attention and makes him instantly intrigued. It's hard for him to trust anyone other than his close friends and she doesn't trust anybody, including guys. Can they help each other out? Can he help save her from herself? Okay, sorry for the crappy description but for now it will have to do and I hope you all give this story a chance. Eventually, the two build up a trusting and understanding relationship and Dr Palmer allows Caleb to do things that his parents would have never have let him do so soon after something so tragic. Caleb gets his life back on track, enrolling at college and even meeting a girl whom he used to know as a child. The two of them begin to date each other, and everything seems great for a while. That is, until Caleb remembers the reason that he tried to commit suicide in the first place, revealing a secret that shatters his new found confidence. As things at home begin to deteriorate too, Caleb’s situation goes from bad to worse. The only person who knows the truth, Dr Palmer, leaves him to stand on his own two feet, declaring him cured. He starts back at college full time, and becomes ever closer with Stephanie, the only person whom he feels that he can trust. When his own father attacks his mother, Caleb begins to think that the police are on to him, trying to unravel his past, thinking that they have realised what happened to cause him to try to commit suicide. However, they are just trying to build a case against his father. In desperation, Caleb tried to reach out to Dr Palmer, against the advice of his mother. As his life spirals out of control, Dr Palmer makes him realise that the only way he can carry on is to come clean and reveal his secret. In a shocking final twist, everything is revealed to be not what it seems, and Caleb finds out that he will be ok, no matter what happens to him.
