The fire chased us as we ran down the hall and up the stairs. We locked mrs.J's classroom door. The boys searched thoroughly for something to break the window. Oddly, they found a shotgun in the locked closet. Jack shot the window while, Tadan and Cameron covered Kayci, Maddie, and myself, Emma.
We ran and jumped out the window and into the dumpster. As soon as we got out we ran up two blocks and used a pay phone to call the fire department.
After the fire, we got to walk through the ashes of the school and I sat in front of where my brother was sitting I looked at where he was sitting and notice something glitter.

He's smirking down at me as he says, "Um, you're in my seat." I laugh and say, "You realize that is the most cliche thing you could possibly say?" He looks confused so I elaborate. I shut my locker and started making my way towards my next class . I was already late and the hallway was almost empty . I picked up my pace . Suddenly a loud thump came from behind me and an immense crushing pain seared through my back . I was slammed in the lockers . I closed my eyes from the sudden contact and pain . Opening my eyes I groaned . The breathe left me all at once . He was the one who pushed . His eyes held so many emotions . anger , hatred and betrayal . It pained me to see that I was the cause of them . Suddenly his fist came flying with full force towards my face and my eyes widened at the thought that he was going to hit me . I closed my eyes waiting for the impact but instead of breaking my face he punched the locker inches away from my face putting a dent on it . He smirked at me . All the colors drained from my face .
