Heather and Benjamin. They met in the least of flattering circumstances, but fall for each other regardless. With Heather's past coming back to the surface, and tensions rising between Ben and some unlikely villains, they'll have to work to get past this.
This is just a little story I came up with years ago and I thought I go back over and revamp it. Hope you enjoy. I'm a sucker for a good dramatic romance novel, what can I say.
Mature language and maybe smut? Haven't gotten there quite yet, but who knows.

I stood peering over the cold lifeless body that lay before my eyes. I had always thought of death the enemy, but right now, I blessed it upon the person who is now at peace. Someone once said when you pass, if you can count your true friends on one hand you are beyond lucky, and I even though I did not like the person that lay before me, I know that he once had true friends, including me. I've been very depressed and heartbroken so, what better than to create a story out of it? "This is my life" details a protagonist going through her teenage years up until the age of 21. Through love, friendship, grief, and heartbreak, you will get to witness what it's like being a young black girl trying to conquer the world. I hope anyone going through either heartbreak, grief, insecurities, mental health declines are able to read this and know that they're not alone!
