Conviction

Rowan Grando is a well-known blogger from southern California. She writes for a large company called Novelist about US History and its direct relation to the existence of Vampires. She's even been invited as a guest speaker to a wide known science-fiction conference called "Believers."

The problem is, she doesn't actually believe in vampires.

An entire body of work that she's dedicated her adult life to and the unfortunate truth that she can't actually bring herself to believe in something as silly as vampires existing anywhere, let alone America.

She's decided to finally branch out as a writer and accepts an out of state job, writing a column for a small newspaper company near Seattle. It will be the perfect low-key, change of pace that she's been looking for. Or so she hopes.

Her first day on the job becomes very obvious to Rowan that her life is about to change in every way. Before she has a chance to think twice, she finds herself wrapped up into a world of extravagant places and expensive parties. And there's nothing "low-key" about any of it. It's with this new job, however, that she's caught the attention of the very subject of her studies and finds herself suddenly questioning everything that she ever doubted.

Caught between a want to please her new boss and an undeniable attraction for a man that every instinct she has reads as dangerous, Rowan must find a way to keep the parts of her life that she thought she had perfect control over in order, in fact, her life depends on it.
