Something is killing them, wings breaking, angels dieing and the kingdom falling into a dark shadow. The one born that started it all is unaware of what is coming right at her. Evil lurks in plain sight and goods trembles. This 5 year old has a lot coming at her.
"She fluttered down to the ground, pulled her winds in and rolled up into a ball on the ground. Her eyes filled with water. Slowly a small drop came out at the end of her black eyes. Rolling down onto her cheekbone and upon her pale cheek. Dropping to her jaw and slowly on her chin. It quickly fell off into her lap. She was crouching now, her arms around her knees and knees tucked in. Tears started streaming down on her face. Her nose started to run, dropping down onto her lips and past, moving to her chin and off, just like the tears. Falling every millisecond now. The wind blew her hair into her face, making it stick to the water. Sniffling her nose every now and again, Seraphina couldn’t stop herself. She opened her mouth to scream, to yell so her pain would leave but her voice disappeared. Nothing came out. She blamed herself for everything, she could have stopped them, done something to help, but no, she stood there, frozen. She clenched her fists. She grabbed what she could and threw it. But she couldn’t settle down, her heart was too hurt and her mind only made things worse."

Rose Naarai was born marked-Flightless in a world of winged warriors. A Nephilim trained after the age of eighteen to fight for a divine cause she never believed in. But when her true calling is revealed not in light, but fire, everything fractures: her body, her soul, and the bond she thought was hers to claim.
Now hunted by angels, demons, and creatures she didn't know existed, Rose hides in the mountains outside Chapel Hill, carrying a child foretold to end the war between Heaven and Hell. But nothing in the Book of the Fallen warned her about betrayal wearing the face of love-or the Detective with blue eyes who's been watching her long before she knew he existed. Rose finds herself in the arms of a stranger who feels too familiar, too careful with her body, too steady with her storm.
Deon says he's here to protect her. Give her the choice she's never been given before, but Rose has been used before. Touched by darkness before and if the child inside her truly is the Caelinox-weapon and key of the prophecy-then Rose will burn the world to keep her safe.
Even if it means becoming the monster Heaven fears most.
The divine want her silenced. The fallen want her child. But Rose?
She just wants revenge.
With the lines between love and betrayal blurred and an ancient war bleeding into the mortal world, Rose will have to choose: burn for what was stolen-or rise for what still remains.
