Kirsten is not aware she struggles with feeling no emotions whatsoever, zero reactions all her life. But then she gets involved with a secret program and found someone who will make her feel again, and again, and over again.

She has made a few close friends that she hangs out with and that's the extent of her social life. Her family (especially her mother) all give her a hard time about her love life or lack there of. When her baby sister gets engaged they really put the pressure on her since she will now be the only one that isn't "settled down" yet. To appease her family, she decides to bring a date to her sister's wedding. The only problem is she has no idea who she is going to find. Her friends help her find someone and the person they pick is the complete opposite of Kirsten. What will happen? Will Kirsten give love a shot? Do opposites really attract? From the book...
