Chaper 1 Hello my name is Jessica I am 15 years old. I love with my mom and my step dad, I would say my life is easy but it's not. When I was 10 my mom and my real dad got divorced because my dad had an affair with a man and my mom didn't want that kind of influence around me. My mom always told me to find a man and not a woman. She is a big Christian and she thinks that if I fall for a woman then I'll go to hell. Well I'm dating this guy who is a total dueche and he treats me like shit but when he's around my mom and my step dad he acts like the best boyfriend. Apparently they can't see the real him. My boyfriend name is Jason. Well I start my first day of my freshman year of high school tomorrow and I'm scared of what people are gonna be like. I make straight A's and I play basketball. I like basketball cause it's a fun sport to play well it usually is lol....

I'm Lindsay Bradford. I'm about to move from Chicago to Miami Florida. Leaving the only life I've ever known won't be much fun. But what choice do I have? I'm 17 living with my mom and basically paying for everything while acting perfect. Where's my dad? Your guess is as good as mine. He left me and mom when I was 4 and I've never heard from him since. Now mom's getting married to this loser Wade Bradley (he lives in Miami). Starting Jr. Year in a new state might be fun. Okay so maybe more stressful than fun. I mean you try having to keep a perfect image especially when you have to do everything from school to cooking and cleaning. Well at least it's a new start right? Might as well make the best of it.
