You'll be okay. But the thing is, I won't be." Tears clawed at my eyes, and emotion clutched my throat, so my words sounded strangled, pained.
"Linds." I couldn't look at him. "Linds." He repeated, louder, and captured my wrists in his pale, slender fingers.
I looked at him, his face lit only by the moonlight, those hazel orbs boring into mine so intensely that I'll never forget that one moment. "What?"
