Tessa VanDenBurgh always wanted to live in Germany with her best friend, Clara. That was their plan for college. Go to the same school and then study abroad together. But one day after school, Tess's mother gets a phone call that changes everything. An opportunity to live in the old Drevis mansion in Western Germany. No one had lived there for years.
