Sarah has went through Hell and back, literally. Now that she is no longer being controlled by the nogitsune and has been resurrected, along with the boy she loves all too much, she can hardly process what all has happened. Her mother may be back from the dead, but she seems to be hiding secrets; ones that Sarah wants in on.

Not only is this enough, but Sarah and Stiles have been a little...different lately. They seem to be closer than ever, a little too close. They start to notice odd things about one another, one thing being that they both had awakened from their death at the same time, which was supposed to be impossible. They think it's just a coincidence, but is anything in Beacon Hills ever a coincidence?

With all of this going on, a hit list and a purple faced jaguar seem to just pile onto Sarah's troubles and worries. Along with the fact that she has to live with the reminder of what she had done, which only breaks her more and more with every passing day.

She learns that sometimes you just have to keep pushing on, even when everything feels as if it's burning to ashes.
