When Lauren's younger brother died from cancer, things in the Hudson house aren't as they used to be. Her whole family has no motivation to do anything through their sadness and pain. Soon, her family gets into fights constantly, this leads to her dad beating Lauren and her mom. After they have had enough, they decide to pack things up and move to California for a new beginning. They hope to live a new life there. Lauren meets a boy named Noah and Noah develops feelings for Lauren. Lauren is too scared to open up and reveal her past and all the pain she's been through. Noah is so curious he wants to know everything, he just want to see life through her eyes.
