I wouldn’t know the truth if it ran me over on a dark highway and stopped long enough to introduce itself to me, leaving all identifying information behind. I'm not proud of it, but I don't have any choice in the matter. My entire existence is a lie, a secret that has gotten people close to me killed. I live in a world where deception reigns with an iron fist and the truth ends with you in a pine box or running for your life. It's not like falling in love and being a sixteen-year-old girl are easy in their own right or anything. Whoever said you can always come home again never lived in my world and obviously never lived in a small town of any kind. My name is Mac and I'm the girl you want to stay clear of.
