There was a legend among werewolves. One called the Guide. Since werewolves had a hard time finding there mates given all the packs in the world they would have to go through, not counting the rogues. This lead the moon goddess to create the guide. A creature that would help the werewolves on the quest for love. One only comes around every ten thousand years. Which makes it a legend.
Being the guide means leading others on the path of love. While given this opportunity to help others you can't have it.
