Meet Leillani, she's the definition of perfect. I bet if you searched 'perfect' in the dictionary, there would be a picture of her in all if her perfectionism. She has the perfect life. Perfect blonde hair. Perfect blue eyes. Perfect body. Perfect grades. Perfect family. Name it and she had it. At the snap of a finger, people would come rushing to her side. All guys wanted to be with her. All girls wanted to be her. Most worshiped her every move. While others thinks she's a snobby bitch. But, this story is not about her. It's about me, Aria, Miss Perfect's not so perfect best friend. I was nothing compared to her. With dark brown and frizzy hair. Ordinary brown eyes. Pale skin. C-average grades. Middle class family. And never being recognized as nothing other than 'Leillani's minion'. Nobody paid much attention to me nor did I have many friends aside from Leillani Well...that is until now. But we'll get to that later. ***** Aria and Leillani have been best friends since 4th grade, when Leillani was the new girl at school. She was the nerdy girl that everybody picked on, and Aria was the social outcast that nobody paid attention to. It was only natural that they clicked and became friends. In 8th grade, Leillani made a drastic change and soon became the most popular girl in school. Leillani was at the top of the totem pole while Aria was still close to the ground. Even though they were never caught anywhere without each other, nobody noticed Aria. They vowed to stay friends no matter what, but that all changed when Leillani's ex moves back to town and only has eyes for one girl, Aria. This can only end in one way or another.

Meet Violet Summers. She's the sarcastic girl who doesn't really ever get noticed by anyone. She blends into any crowd because of how "normal" she is. And she loves it. She wouldn't be able to stand the attention of everyone around her. That's why she won't tell Ryan Bloore, her crush for three years, that she practically worships the ground he walks on. Ryan is the captain of the basketball team at their school, so guys see him like he's a god and girls act like he walks on water. If they were to date, all eyes would be on her- she would be under everyone's scrutiny. So she's kept her feelings a secret, and she's done her best to suppress her emotions these past years, but she's realized that she's been so caught up in making people not notice her that she didn't realize how lonely she would be when no one was watching. Now meet Ryder Knight. School bad boy. Quarterback captain and heartthrob. The kind that wears a leather jacket and has tattoos all over his arms. The one who shows up to school riding a motorcycle. Just your average run of the mill "if you get involved with this guy, you will meet some serious trouble" kind of male. Well, too bad for Violet, she's stuck with him now. After all of the years of pushing away her feelings for Ryan because of her fear of being seen, she is now all anyone can look at- because of Ryder. Because of him, she can feel their stares, and she hates him for it. The longer they spend time together, the more Ryder starts to realize he actually enjoys being around her-despite her snarky comments about how much she despises him. And if Violet is being completely honest with herself, she's also starting to realize she might not actually hate the fact that people are noticing her now, but hate the way Ryder makes her feel.
