Jake Spendeth is a regular fourteen year old boy with brown hair and green eyes. His life was great until his older brothers' birthday. His brother had  his alarm set for 7:00 am.  But what Jake woke up to was a masked figure driving away in a black van. On his brothers' nineteenth birthday Jake receives a strange letter mailed in 1845. The letter is about strange chemicals and electrical stones that could be used to make a portal that could destroy the whole world! Can Jake find who mailed this letter and who is building this portal! Who the new kid in town really is and why he feels this sense that someone is watching him? When Jake kills the stalker, he ends up killing himself too, and now Emily can only see him in her dreams. Now, she has to handle a lot more than his house and herself while he's gone because of there little camping trip.
