Piper has never needed to run, not since her family left the hollow where she was born. No one has ever told her the real reason as to why they moved to that old farmhouse on the outskirts of a human town. The only thing she knows for sure is that under no circumstances must she be found by the Royal Guards, or those wingless people.
But somehow everything changes when one afternoon, she hears a voice in the woods near her house, a voice which not only resembles her own, but makes her feel like she's not all alone, after all.
