This is a short story, showing Pete Carielleno's true feelings towards his best friend Rebecca Todd. She was the only one who hadn't pushed away this heartbroken, lonely and suffering werewolf. She excepted him based on personality in middle school and the two became inseparable. At first, Rebecca didn't know about her friends secret, but soon found out and regretted it. Considering, her blood, was the blood of the Werewolf Hunters from years ago. The only beings who could actually kill Werewolves. After many 'firsts', one that bound Pete to truly only love Rebecca, and others that the two experienced, they finally come to a stop, where Pete finds out, but risks his life to save her from herself. Pete began to bleed out, and Rebecca gives him life, in one way he didn't expect. But after all of his pain, life began to get better, then drastically fall, then rise again. He couldn't handle this, even if he had a power that many humans wanted. Immortality. He didn't want it.
