Sadie King had lived on the streets her whole life, when she wasn't being bounced back and forth between foster homes and orphanages. She had her own little family of friends, a true family who she could count on, and she didn't need any parents. But then Bill and Emily Newman come along, the perfect set of foster parents, and for some reason, they want to be hers. She's taken into Upstate New York, her first time away being from her beloved city and actually enjoying it. She starts to think about giving up her past and spending her future with Bill, Emily, and Noah, the boy next door who she has a certain connection with. But what happens when ghosts from her pasts come to haunt her? Will she stay loyal and true to Bill and Emily, or will she continue to keep on chasing pavement?

What could possibly go wrong? ***** She is Ember. A closed-off and secluded girl with far too many secrets - one being that she's a supernatural mythical mix of a Phoenix that she is desperately trying to control. As her abilities develop, it feels like she's running out of time to control the Phoenix before the fire breaks loose and hurts someone she loves. He is Theo. Equally secretive yet far better at hiding it, this cocky American showed up from nowhere and now seems to be everywhere. The fact he's a werewolf just complicates things further. Hunters are chasing Theo from America to the UK, under the alleged claim that he brutally murdered his pack - a bloody yet unlikely accusation. As much as Ember wants to help Theo, she's fighting her own battles, and the two have to figure out their on-and-off relationship first. In this deceitful world of supernatural and normal humans, outsiders threaten Ember, Theo and their friends - both old and new. Can this group of supernatural teens be brought together by their desperation? Or will they forever be in conflict? Both Ember and Theo are playing a dangerous game with fire, and it's impossible to know who might get burned. **2ND PLACE IN THE WATTY'S OSCAR AWARDS ** "DOES IT LOOK LIKE I CARE !? " I yelled in her face making her coward back in fear , just how I like them. "I really am sorry Logan ..." "NOT ENOUGH. IF YOU THINK I'VE MADE YOUR LIFE HELL BEFORE, JUST YOU WAIT !" And with that , I grabbed my bag, leaving her in her pile of misery. If she thought I was going to stay after that little performance of her , she had another thing coming. "Logan please! Don't do this . I promised your mom I would help you . Even if it means I have to sit through your insults " she said , yanking me back by my backpack. I was beyond peeved at her right now. "Who do you think you ARE little 'I'm a church girl ' !? Who gives you the RIGHT TO JUST YANK ON ME ! INCASE I HAVEN'T MADE IT CLEAR YET ; LET ME MAKE IT CLEARER. " I looked her straight in the face and jabbed my finger " DONT. YOU . DARE. TOUCH. ME. AGAIN! " As I pulled back her eyes started to gloss over , making her stumble backwards and hit the wall behind her. Pathetic. **** Logan Delgada was your typical , stereotypical super popular , rich jocks that thinks the world revolved around him. The type of guy that walks around with the attitude that 'the party doesn't start until he gets there ' . Like he's a gift to the world. Amaya Parker is a preacher's daughter. The youth leader at their church. She hides away in big crowds and does everything in her will power to keep everyone around her happy. He's rude. She's thoughtful. He swears . She's won the spelling bee. So what happens when a simple prayer makes these two worlds collide ? *started 28 February 2019 * *finished 22 January 2020* *edited 28 January 2020*
