A virus long ago escaped, infecting the whole human race, giving them an inability to have contact. Only once in their life may they have contact with the Non-Contacters without dieing, but that one time is wasted when they are born. How does the human race reproduce? Simple. Some are born immune to the virus. They are born with the Mark, showing the world that they are Touchable. And everyone, even the Non-Contacters, can touch the Touchables. The Touchables, to keep the human race alive, are instantly imprisonned. They spent their whole life in an institute, until they are sixteen. They are given and sold to whoever the Goverment chooses. Scientists and geniuses in the most part, trying to create smarter and smarter children. But, they are also sold in secret. Sold for pleasure to rich Non-Contacters seeking sexual companions in the black market. Abused constantly, and forced to bear children. Unable to choose who they want to love, unable to fight back. But the scientists are working on a cure, to make everyone Touchable again. Rumor is that they already found the cure, but the Goverment refuses to share it to keep the Touchable market going. Other rumors say that the cure makes you Touchable, but venomous. Able to reproduce, but killing your partner. Making them wither and die. A way to keep the growth of the population in the Goverment's hands, a way to kill their enemies. Pretending to send a Touchable, while instead sending a Venomous. But those are just rumors. Right?

NOT EDITED VERSION. Delilah got a huge responsibility on her shoulders at the age of 17 when her parents died. The responsibility: her seven year old sister, Alice. They don't know exactly how their parents died. All they knew was that their car exploded, but their bodies were never found, even after the fire was put out. Delilah thought that her life was simple -well as simple as it gets with a seven year old in your life- but what she didn't know was that people were looking for her. For both her and her sister. The mark that they bore behind their neck symbolized something bigger than what they thought was a simple birth mark. It symbolized mate. But more importantly, it meant that they could bare a child with no fertility problems. On the vampire world, fertility is a big problem. It's been thousands of years since a female has birthed a child that has been capable of passing down the vampire gene without being bitten or cursed (the worst and most painful possible way ever) or both mother and infant dying. So finding a female with the mark is like finding your own personal treasure. When Delilah meets her hot new neighbor and finds out he's a werewolf -not just any werewolf but the most powerful Alpha King- will they be mates? Or will she be mates to one of the many vampires and help solve the thousand year old problem? Cover made by @bubblygummii Mark is supposed to be behind neck, so please don't judge the cover. I love it ❤️
