After his once so perfect family is destroyed by his father losing his job and becoming an abuser and an alcohol addict, Alex life has completely changed. Then, one night, which Alex has no remaining memory of, his brother and his parents die, leaving Alex on his own. Beneath the struggle with mental illnesses Alex is bullied by his homophobic classmates, making him slowly lose all hope. Luckily, Jack Barakat moves to Maryland, and happens to be in the same school and class as Alex. Will he be able to save Alex?

Wei Wuxian didn't even know he existed. Lan Wangji on the other hand never could let go. He stalked him for over ten years and finally approached him the night Wei Wuxian was drunk and blacked out. He took his obsession to a hotel room to have him throw up all over his clothes and then slip and hurt his back. Needless to say he stayed the night to keep him safe. In the morning when a hilarious misunderstanding occurs he convinces his crush to compensate him by marrying him and to his utter disbelief Wei Wuxian agrees, provided that they keep their marriage secret. After receiving the certificate they go their different ways. When Lan Wangji finds out that the Jiangs have not only fired Wei Wuxian but also kicked him out of home, he uses his resources to track his husband and shows up at his door with a pack of beer even though he doesn't drink.
