In this book the main characters are gonna be African American. I chose them to be African American because in all that I have read on wattpad not one book had African Americans in them that are main characters.
The main focus I want to achieve in this book is that everybody came in this world to do something and to never lose hope no matter how hard life gets to you and you wanna give up, get up and keep on trying because you are not going through it alone.
This book will talk about all the struggles us African Americans go through like people hating on how we act, discrimination, hair problems, and so much more.
In this book there is a girl her name is Janice Froman, she is of course African American, she comes from a very poor family meaning only few people went to college in her family and her main goal right now is too get to college and live her life, but can she do that when there is this boy that is always in her way ?

I’m not a fighter in the traditional sense. I will suffer first, and sort out the pain later. But I don’t give up. I grew up in a bubble of privilege, while all I’ve ever wanted to do was live underground. Everything started early. The name-calling pushed me into becoming anti-social. I spoke exclusively to my worst best friend and the alternate persona in my head. I spent years like this, feeling completely alone. I convinced myself that I didn’t need other people. I would become smarter than them, reading and studying. I would find my own fun, watching late night TV and going to concerts. I wasn’t just sad. I was depressed. And the reason seemed insignificant. It all started over the loss of some playground boyfriend. I tried to be anorexic, but instead I wound up eating more. I wanted to stay asleep and avoid the tragedy that replayed in my head everyday. I was sick of the world I was in. I wanted to commit suicide. One day I heard a song on the radio that introduced me to a new genre of music. It was an electric shock to my system, and suddenly I had a reason to go on living. I discovered that melancholy was perfectly normal. I have also written an extensive outline, detailing each chapter. Appetizer chronicles the anguish that many have experienced growing up, while emphasizing the importance of never giving up hope. Not when the step mom was kind of mean to her. When she met Caleb, her life changed into something she never thought would ever happen to her. Someone genuinely loved her, and it was a boy and she couldn't let this go by. But when hidden secrets get revealed only they can change them. Told in both POV.

Liz soon realizes she will have to make a choice. Will she choose her past or her present? Whatever she chooses, it will change her life forever. Hey guyss! Alright so,..this is the official The American Dream: The NOVEL. I consider "An Urban Story: The American Dream" more like the prologue to this all. It's a short story so it introduced you to the character's and sort of gave the back drop of how they even got to this point...so if you haven't ready that...I highly recommend that you do because it'll give you a better understanding (link below). I've been trying so hard to perfect it, but I don't wanna keep y'all waiting so I just posted a simple chapter and i'll try to update this everyday if I can..
