Every year, one person is chosen to be the Heartbreaker: the person who must break four girls/boys hearts in a day, the day before homecoming. And for the past three years, they've been chosen from Tabytha Hoffheins's year. Alex Cross, Beckett Dyle, and Dylan Asler. Everyone's expecting another boy - mainly Ryley Morrer, the new foreign exchange student who Tabytha hates with a passion. But instead, on that day, Tabytha finds a piece of paper in her locker, with all four of those names on it. She's been chosen. Twice. For her, this isn't a honour, it's a setback. She doesn't want to do it, but she knows the threat of not completing her assignment.
