Daemon Lovewood is a child struggling to find his identity in a land riddled with mystery, treachery and above all: wizardy. Sorcery is a rather common and legitimate practice in the Continent of Moer, what used to be North America before an explosion eradicated all of civiliation. The lifestyle in Moer is rather similar to that of medieval times: inconvenient and hardships around every corner. Daemon gets accepted into the Moer national school of Magick where he hardly shows any talent. His only gift in Magick is a forbidden practice that's been illegalized since the dawn of moer: Dark Magick. Meanwhile, he is also overcome by severe headaches and a tattoo that appears during one of these attacks? What does this tattoo mean? Why was his father cast away to the depths of Hades? Daemon will have to become a true demon to find out.
