Roxy Newmoon went through a lot in four days.
Let me tell you what happened to her the past four YEARS of her life first though. Hue, Roxy's mate now, used to torment her, her whole childhood until she was almost seventeen. She left home with the goal of becoming an Alpha of a great pack. Which she did, but after a year of trying to get at least ONE person to join her, then two years of building the pack up, then one year of war with the Moonlight pack and their horrible Alpha Kevin, she went home.
Now back to those four horrible days. Roxy goes home, she learns that Kevin is trying to take over that territory, goes after Kevin, kills Kevin, then has to decide if being Hue's mate is best for her pack or not.
NOW it's a exactly a month after she decided and now there's a Hunter hunting her pack down. And not only that, but Hue is trying to get her to feel stuff for him other than loathing and a little respect.
Can a female Alpha a more hetic life or what? She just wants a normal Alpha life, but NO! Not in her future.

Book 1 in the Clearwater series Maybelle Smith, or Rose as she is more known, is about as stereotypical as you get when it comes to a teenager. She hates school, her brother pisses her off, sarcasm is her first language, and she can't stand her math teacher. Oh, yeah, and she's a werewolf, but what's a few minor details here and there. Everything is all peaches and cream until her eighteenth birthday roles around, when she finds out her supposed 'fated mate' is her ex best friend who is also the alpha of a very touchy rival pack that hates her guts. So of course they'd be forced into marriage to avoid an attack from crazy rouges, and of course the two packs would have to live under the same roof; I mean, life just wouldn't be right if not. So, just to recap, Rose has to mend bonds with her 'mate,' get two sworn enemies to work as one, prevent a possible massacre, and is still expected to get an A on her next math test. But like I said, minor details.
