Pete and Patrick have been friends since the third grade, however things changed when the summer before ninth grade hit. Patrick ended up moving to a different state and contact between the two friends were lost.
A few years have passed and now Pete is in eleventh grade when suddenly a new kid shows up in two of his classes... but why does he look so familiar?

"Hey, kid," he says, first thing, lugging a huge, shiny brown duffle behind him.
