Dauntless initiation is fast approaching and this year, it has been decided that both stages of training will be held at Amity. The outdoors is said to give a new perspective to the initiates. Lianna, a true Amity revels in the fact that Dauntless soldiers will be coming to her home faction. She's heard stories of soldiers, one in particular that has caught her attention more than the rest. When Lianna meets Eric, she's immediately thrown into the world she's always wondered about but soon things begin to take a turn for the worst and she becomes trapped. An impenetrable cage where she's held hostage by the one person she was so intrigued by.

{BOOK ONE} There are five factions. Each had their own reasoning for thinking why the war had happened. Dauntless; cowardice and fear. They strive to be brave, fearless. Erudite; ignorance. They strive for intellect, to be smart and curious. Candor; deception. They strive to be honest. Amity; they blamed the war itself along with fighting. They strive to be kind, forgiving, peaceful. Abnegation; selfishness. So they strive to be selfless. Dauntless are our police. Erudite are our teachers. Candor is the law. Amity are the farmers. And Abnegation are our government. I would sit on the ground everyday, wearing my yellow dress with black sandals. Wasn't the best thing for me. Dresses made my shoulders to broad, especially the flowing ones. When I was home alone, or with my mother, I would wear I tight black shirt and white shorts. No one would really approve, mostly because they were Candor colours along with the fact it's not... welcoming enough. I never understood Amity, not because of the kindness and the peacefulness; well, mostly the peacefulness. Whenever it should come down to defending ourselves or walking away. We walked away. It confused me. Maybe I wasn't Amity enough to understand. Maybe I wasn't kind enough. Maybe, just maybe, I didn't belong here. So where do I belong?
