Although Evelyn is an orphan, deaf, and a little socially awkward, she rarely lets it or get in the way of her life. She still goes to school, still enjoys reading, and always spends her evenings with her brother's old telescope and an encyclopaedia on space in her lap. But not being able to easily communicate with people tends to provide its lonely margins. Joseph, the new boy, decides that Evie will become his new project. And maybe with the help of this new friend, Evie can finally learn to breakthrough her boundaries and become the fairly-normal girl with the fairly-normal life she's always dreamed of.

Patrick Harper has always struggled with his deafness. Having been born deaf, he's had to navigate a world without sound. If it wasn't for his hearing aids, he wouldn't hear anything. Sometimes, silence is golden. After enduring heartache and an accident, Patrick refuses to love or drive again. His brothers think he needs let go of the past. Eh, what do they know? They're insane as it is. When four of the Harper brothers arrive at Saintwood College, all bets are off, especially when Patrick encounters Rowan. What happens when someone proves to Patrick that actions speak louder than words? With the help of brothers and a foster sister, Patrick will learn for one to listen, doesn't mean you must hear. *Sequel to the Harper Brothers.
