Layla's mother has always been so focused on appearances. So much, in fact, that her husband left her and now she is ruining her daughter's life. Layla has no choice but to obey her mother. If she doesn't, then terrible things might happen to her. Terrible things that vary from being grounded from her only friend to being starved for a week. She must follow every rule and diet plan that her mother throws her way. She knows that she can not live much longer with her mother or she might just die. Will Layla be stuck with her mother forever, or will she find a way to break free?

This is what life is like for 15-year-old Layla who live in Afghanistan under the rule of the Taliban. Since then, I have learned more on the subjects and hope that one day I'll be able to re-edit this and change those conflicts. I am eternally sorry if I offend you in this story.
