About the novel . . . (Spoiler alert) Being a partner in genocide is unimaginable for a peaceful, inept shape shifter like Grainne. But when her husband Slyxx holds her medieval homeland hostage for a seemingly worthless ransom she doesn’t have, the inconceivable happens, and Slyxx orders the destruction of Incorrigible. Despite growing despair, Grainne can’t let go of believing that survivors do exist, and it’s up to her to find them. When she detects an error in translation of a set of mysterious scrolls penned by a missing order of priestesses, she resolves to find the women she believes can lead her to survivors. She uses her wiles to escape captivity and thinks she’s on the right track when she finds an exiled colony of nomads and convinces them to settle in Incorrigible. What she doesn’t realize is that she already knows the missing priestesses, and some of them are working to stop her from uncovering a secret alliance threatening her world. Even worse, one of Incorrigible’s new citizens wants what’s right under Grainne’s nose. Although quick-witted and more worldly for her travels, Grainne is about to learn just how naïve she really is when Slyxx resurfaces, along with two captives, and she discovers the stars aren’t what she thought they were . . . and neither is she. Complete at 114,000 words, Incorrigible: Secrets Past & Present is a standalone and intended as the first novel in an epic science fantasy series for Adult readers. Told from multiple points of view, the story of Incorrigible unfolds through the eyes of the realm’s leader, a few of its citizens, and one of its enemies.

The world thinks I'm the arrogant one. The rule-breaker. The charming duelist who gets away with everything. They're not wrong. But no one knows what's at stake when I look at Anne. No one knows what I've done. What I'll still do. I made a promise. One I intend to keep. Not for the Headmaster. Not for the school. Not even for the girl with the violet eyes and the clever mouth who's stumbled straight into my path. Qynna Veilinharv. She wasn't here before. Now she's exactly where I need her. She casts spells like she's never learned them, argues like a Slytherin, blushes like a Hufflepuff, and hides things like the world depends on it. I should have left her alone. I didn't. She keeps walking straight into my plans, and every time she does, it becomes easier to let her. The closer she gets, the more I can see what she's made of. And the truth is, some part of me likes watching her try. Even if she never realises how deep she's wandered. Even if, by the time she does, it's already too late. Includes: ✨ Secrets, lies, and very bad decisions ✨ A meddling, mysterious girl with more power than she knows ✨ A cocky protagonist who absolutely has a fan club ✨ A slow descent into dark magic Sebastian Sallow x Fem!OC (but replace "Qynna" and "Veilinharv" with your own OC if you wish- we're all secretly shifting anyway.) ⚠️ Trigger Warnings This story includes themes of grief, terminal illness, death, PTSD, anxiety, depression, obsession, self-harm, light intimacy, violence, blood, dark magic, alcoholism, and emotional ruin. Spoilers for Hogwarts Legacy throughout. Game scenes may appear with new context, expanded dialogue, or darker consequences. Leave comments, theories, chaos, pain. I read them all like they're letters from Azkaban. Thank you for being here. And good luck. You'll need it. - misspurrple
