Little Pieces of Heaven

It started with a scrunched up note. A note no one would have cared about. No one would ever have noticed it, laying there on the street covered in mud and goodness knows what else. But Carrie Jones just couldn't help but look at the scrunched up piece of paper. It reminded her of herself, alone and messed up. She walked over slowly dodging the people around her and picked it up cautiously. Opening it up slowly, something fell out of it and bounced onto the pavement. It was a wedding ring.
