There are countless ways to define a person, for example, a shy girl: Someone who keeps to themselves, crosses their arms a lot, and/or looks at their feet is classified as a shy girl. But if one has all of these qualities and other aspects, are they truly just a shy person?
Who really knows? They could be junk food loving, tree hugging, fan fic reading, netflix watching, 40 weeks deep stalking, girly girl genius. But instead of being a decent human being and accepting people for who they are. Within the first 7 seconds of meeting someone, we immediately try to guess what stereotype they fall under.
Violet Lane is characterized as a shy girl
Axel Valentine is characterized as bad boy.
Are they who they seem to be or completely different? Who knows.

What happens when she finally has enough of being the shy, depressed, guilt filled, daydreamer girl that she changed herself into. What happens when she has to transfer to the same school as her best friend Jacob who's in the same friend group as the schools "bad" boy who's also dating the worst bully she's ever had. Like a sunflower will she blossom to her full beauty or will she stay in her shell read to find out. People who are perfect." Well I could say this but then I would be lying. This is not a story about perfectionism but the opposite. Where the characters realize that their is as much horror in the light as there is beauty in the dark. Where they learn the only way you can describe life is that it goes on. That love is not finding a soulmate who tames your wildness but someone who runs wild with you. That the only way out of this labyrinth of life is through it. That it takes more than a pulse, a working pair of lungs and a pumping heart to call a homo sapien a human. It's a journey of people, being pretentious and perfect, to being a hot mess.
