20 years after the founding of Mission-X, a secret laboratory made to test new military software and create and test new weapons, it's existence was still the best kept secret - or so They thought. When a hacker, bent on exposing the project and destroying the Achonian government, gets himself into the systems of Mission-X and to the chips of dangerous weapons, activating them, both Project Genesis and Mission-X were put in danger. Each of the weapons were sent to a member of a carefully planned list of people with seemingly nothing in common, besides living in or near Echo city.

Edward White and Lillien Crosley were two students who would soon begin their college years in Echo city. Days after their arrival in a new house, they find a strange girl washed up on the city's rocky wastes. The girl, going by the name of Rogue, experienced memory loss as well as many injuries, leading the two to take her in and care for her. But Rogue was not as innocent and ignorant she appeared to be. Once a series of life threatening events begin to seemingly follow Rogue, her identity as one of Mission-X's missing experiments became apparent to both her and the two and slowly her memory regained. Now, it's up to Ed, Lillien, and Rogue to find this elusive hacker, and figure out why Mission-X is being attacked. As more and more experiments begin escaping, why is Mission-X attacking Rogue as a primary target? And what makes Rogue, Ed, and Lillien so important in this hacker's plans for Achon's government? One thing still remains true- no one in all of Achon is not involved in project genesis anymore, and nothing will be the same.

When she manifested her powers at the age of 12, she was so terrified to find out that she wasn't normal. Until one day, Charles Xavier tracked her down, to tell her or confirm to her rather, that she was in fact a mutant, a very, very powerful one at that. She was brought to the Xavier's School for the Gifted, and she was accepted and integrated into the school, despite her doubts and all of her misgivings about being a mutant and especially a powerful one like Charles said about her. She was not expecting to find two boys there, that had all complete oppositional mutations who also happened to be best friends. One had the mutant name Iceman or Bobby, while the other was Pyro, or John as he had been called since birth. They quickly gave her the nickname Element, after realizing that she had many useful abilities and they were all related to the elements. They also found out very quickly enough to their pleasure, after accidents around the school, that by combining their gifts of their specific elements to hers, that they could create something even more powerful then what they already had on their own. ~PARAGON CINEMATIC UNIVERSE: PHASE 1, BOOK 2~ *This novel serves as a direct sequel to Viper's Bite. I'd suggest either reading it or at least getting a rudimentary understanding of it before beginning this one, or you're probably going to get confused.* It has been 2.5 years since The Viper foiled Dr. Drevis's plan atop the Mercury Heights Space Needle. However, due to the events of the previous novel, her reputation has taken a massive hit; the government has officially declared her a threat and are now sending agents after her, with Vivian O'Leary and her superior Miles Burnstone at the helm. To make matters worse, The Viper begins experiencing strange visions at random intervals that appear to be telling her something---but she has no idea what---and they're beginning to interfere with her job of being a superhero. After she receives a cryptic call from her grandmother, who claims to know the true origin of her powers while discrediting her initial story as false, she departs Mercury Heights for the first time and goes to visit her in Honolulu to find answers, leaving the city under the protection of a newly-reformed Duncan Drevis and his partner, The Crawler, in her absence. Things get complicated after she is directed towards an organization known as The Opulent, who appear to request her help, but secretly have much darker motives. Meanwhile, Duncan and The Crawler have turned over a new leaf and now serve as the joint heads of a massive innovation company known as Lifeline Industries, which specializes in fields such as genetic modification and robotics design. After Duncan's long-lost sister, Monica, is accidentally mutated into the supervillain Shocker following an electrifying lab incident and goes on a massive power trip, Duncan and The Crawler must set out to stop her before she kills the electricity to Mercury Heights for good. • Cover designed by @Castiment
