17 year old Nina Monroe is a " normal" teenager she goes to parties, gets great grades, has a relatively nice boyfriend and awesome friends but she knows she's just good at hiding things like that her dad is an alcoholic and that's why she doesn't live with him , and the fact that she has anxiety, and panic attacks or that she "used to" self harm but now she just cries until the urge is gone . She doesn't realize she needs help or that if she just hides the worst parts of herself she will never be able to move on. So she starts to think that she's never going to get better. Jay a college student with a fasination for gruesome art. Climbs up to the roof of the apartment they both share to get some fresh air only to find Nina standing on the ledge, staring right at him. She doesnt want to be saved unless it by herself, and he completely lacks consideration for anyones feelings. Can they grow to be in a healthy friendship with eachother or will it become toxic?
