"Go! Go! I love you my darling my darlings!" she shouted tears streaming down her face. Everything seemed to move so very slowly. And then I was pulled away. Grabbed by the hand and led towards hell. Away from my now no longer quiet life. Away from my parents. Turning to look at my brothers’ face he gave me a solemn look as he picked up our sister and we were pushed into a carriage with several other children.
All with tears streaming down their faces. And as we moved bumpily and quickly away we could see the faces of all our parents. Not masked with fear, sorrow or anger but relief. That they may not live but their children would. But we were determined to get back to them. And we would.
