I was headed for my fourth summer alone on a direct flight to New York from LA where my mom lives. I spend the summer with my dad and the school year with my mom the court thought it would be the best decision when I was 13. My life in LA was a mess I really don't think next fall I could fix it or fix the relationship with my mom since she's about to get remarried to a jerk, my mom invited me to the wedding this summer but I told her I couldn't stay in LA a full year. In La I had a few friends, and a close friend named Matt.My summer with my dad, I had mostly all guy friends, we had no curfew and best of all we have a holiday made up rather than Fourth Of July we have christmas in July but theres still fireworks.

When Sammy's parents got divorced, she didn't mind at all, because she knew that they weren't meant to be together, and if they weren't happy with each other, then they don't have to stay together for her sake.
