For the past year, eighteen-year old spare heir and werewolf Michael has lived in the shadow of loss. Unable to shake the guilt of not saving his older brother, grief haunts him like a second shadow, and to make things worse, a recurring dream of a mysterious girl won't let him go.
When that dream leads him to the once forbidden Woodlands, Michael makes a chilling discovery: a living Fae. Not only should her presence be impossible as her people--enemy to the Wolves--no longer inhabited this world, it's dangerous--especially for Michael's mother, whose role in helping the Fae escape the almost war a year ago would be seen as treason by the pack and by his father, the ruthless Alpha.
