Twenty-Two years ago, Joh Hammond wanted to create an amusement park that no one had ever seen before. With the help of InGen, he set off to create Jurassic Park. Unfortunately, things didn't go as planned. Now, Isla Nublar features a fully functioning theme park, as originally envisioned by John Hammond. This is the adventure on Isla Nublar with Owen, a researcher on Raptor behavior. But he is not alone, he has brought his daughter, Vanessa. Mr. Masrani, head of Masrani Global, thought it would be a good idea to create a genetically modified hybrid to attract more visitors. The two will have to survive Jurassic World from the ferocious beast they call the Indominus Rex. Along with 2,000 more people, they're going to have to RUN.

The first book following the first installation of Jurrasic Park. Clarissa Hammond is the youngest daughter of John Hammond. Clarissa is a paleontologist alongside Dr. Alan Grant and is good friends with Ellie Sattler. Being almost thirty-one years old and adopted by the CEO of InGen and Jurrasic Park at ten years old, Clarissa believes that she is old enough to decide for herself. Clarissa is amazed at what her adopted father has created but is frightened by the outcome. These creatures were created and destroyed by God for a reason, who knows what chaos will happen when the said creatures decide it is time for them to make their lives in a new world. Wanting Alan Grant's opinion about the park, Hammond brings a few select individuals to witness everything he's created. What Hammond didn't count on was that Ian Malcolm would become interested in his adopted daughter.
