Kiera has just arrived to California with her dad since they are moving back there again. She has a lot of catching up to do since she left for two years to stay in England because of her dad's work. Her dad is the vice president of the company, Swans Electronics.
His boss wanted him to come back because he wants his eldest son, Chris to meet his daughter, Kiera again. Kiera doesn't know about that her dad and his boss made a promise to each other since Kiera was born to arrange a marriage for both their daughter and son. This is because the boss wants his son to get married and take over the Company, and Kiera's dad wants her to follow her late mum's footsteps to marry a man who has power (like her dad).
