Deven lives in Hawaii in his parents back yard. He has an ordinary job and ordinary school classes. Everyone knows him because he let his heart take over his mind when was caught with another man. Now everyone knows he's gay and inturn he is shuned by the island.
That is until a storm drops an injured merman in his pool. The nameless merman soon finds out why Deven tried to drown himself and why he lives alone. The merman questions never end, all revolving around the same question, "why are you helping me? What can you gain from it?"
The merman may be cruel with his words, but his actions meant more to Deven.
