When Blight is picked  for the 53rd Hunger Games with his best friend Amber, he has no idea what hell he has entered. When the games start, he can think of nothing about keeping Amber alive. With the Career pack on there tail, Blight and his alliance must fight through the arena, which keeps them trapped. But there are other things in the area besides the tributes. Will Blight and Amber survive, or will the horrors in the arena get them first?

‘’ Ladies and gentlemen of Panem, for the Pageant of the one hundred and twenty fifth annual Hunger Games, or the fifth Quarter Quell, we have a special treat in store. Here in Panem, we are all depending on something, the Capitol depends on the twelve districts for goods, the districts depend on the Capitol for food and protection but also, the districts depend on each other. To highlight the fact that the districts of Panem are so dependent on each other, the tributes in this year’s Hunger Games will be randomly paired with one another. The pairs will be connected via a new Capitol invention that will mean when one of them dies, so does the other. This will mean that the pairs will have to protect each other, because their lives are in their partner’s hands and vice versa. As you may be wondering how this will affect the final outcome, I am very excited to announce that for the first time ever in Hunger Games history, two tributes will be able to win! Yes, you heard me correct. There will be two victors! You will all hear more about this after the Reapings have commenced, until then, I bid you all adieu. The first tribute reaped in each District has to choose who will be accompanying them in the Arena. However, the person they choose must still be eligible for the Games. Who will be reaped? Who will they choose as their District partner? What strange and exciting twists will the Arena hold this year? Who will win... *This book has nothing to do with my other Hunger Games book, The 125th Annual Hunger Games. It's just another Quell idea I had. BUT I would advise reading my other book first because there are a few spoilers mentioned in this book that have to do with The 125th Annual Hunger Games! This year, more tributes than ever were to be reaped as a reminder that no matter how many people try to rebel, the Capitol will always be the strongest. However, things take a turn for the worst during these games, with the tributes rebelling and the Capitol's gamemakers, hosts and president under pressure. And every year, the mentors have to watch from the mentors room, famed Victors themselves, and almost entirely unable to bring home another Victor. Nobody's ever said that a Victor's life got easier after the games ended.
