The world is post WW3, which was a nuclear war. The world was destroyed but then was reinhabited, there are super humans now only there are still those that are the cream of the crop, or in their words "elemental". These elementals control the elements, unlike your average super human with telekinesis, or controlling the adrenaline horomon to get super strength for a few seconds. The main character Vulcan has one of these elemental powers. Vulcan soon finds someone that he just can't stand yet he just can't live without. How will this love blossom or burn down?

Wei Wuxian didn't even know he existed. Lan Wangji on the other hand never could let go. He stalked him for over ten years and finally approached him the night Wei Wuxian was drunk and blacked out. He took his obsession to a hotel room to have him throw up all over his clothes and then slip and hurt his back. Needless to say he stayed the night to keep him safe. In the morning when a hilarious misunderstanding occurs he convinces his crush to compensate him by marrying him and to his utter disbelief Wei Wuxian agrees, provided that they keep their marriage secret. After receiving the certificate they go their different ways. When Lan Wangji finds out that the Jiangs have not only fired Wei Wuxian but also kicked him out of home, he uses his resources to track his husband and shows up at his door with a pack of beer even though he doesn't drink.
