Violet. The girl with ironically purple hair, several piercings, very short hair, and tomboy written all over her. Juliet. She has the most soft, long, beautiful ginger hair of any girl you'll ever meet. And she's just all around sweet.
Violet and Juliet have been best friends since Kindergarten. Just friends. And both were convinced that they would get married to adoring husbands, and have sweet little children, with plump, rosy, cheeks. Until 4th grade that is. At age 9, Violet begins to feel differently towards her friend. The way you might feel if you were to have a "crush" on someone. But, Violet knows that's impossible. And pushes the thought away.
