Sanity (Bubbline Highschool AU)

Marceline and Bonnibel were best friends as children, but they grew distant and their friendship fell dim. After Marceline's fathers sanity slipped from his reach, she stopped talking and cut herself off from people. She became the town punk due to her reckless behavior. Marceline was put in a private school hoping it would have a positive effect on her behavior. The problem was, Bonnibel went to that school. Marceline didn't want Bonnibel to see her in the state she was in. Bonnibel noticed Marceline and knew something was wrong. All she wanted to do was care for her. But it was harder because Marceline was shutting down. Bonnibel wants to pull her from the black hole she slipped into, but does it become more? Does wanting to help a childhood friend blossom into a mutual love for each other? Or will it go south after Marceline's sanity falls before her own eyes?
