Collision - (noun) an instance of one moving object or person striking violently against each other.

It all began with a collision. Not a violent one, though. It was more like a domino falling on top of another, setting off a trail of events that were absolutely inevitable, allowing gravity to work its magic and make the fall. But before the domino trail showed effect, however, a push down on hard New York pavement and a cup of coffee to the head had to happen to Aspen Lane. With that, the bad luck just kept showing up...together with a weird boy who had the same streak of unfortunate events plaguing him.

This is where Aspen Andrews comes into the picture. He never did a bad thing in his life (at least, that's what he thinks), yet the moment he accidentally shoved an innocent girl over the sidewalk, life just went downhill. This mystery girl, who coincidentally was also named Aspen (their moms just had to take the same page out of the baby book, hadn't they?), always found a way to barge into his life and leave her mark as if taking revenge for that one snowy day when their worlds became inexplicably interlaced.

A day not going by without them running into each other one way or another, chance proves that it might have never been a case of bad luck in the long run. Whoever said cups of coffee, melted snowmen, crying cashiers, missed interviews, and trips to the hospital were a terrible thing? Besides, it's Christmas season in New York. Miracles are bound to happen...right?

Twas the night before Christmas, in the Darkport townhouse, When in crept a creature, quiet as a mouse; He had not a clue she slept sweetly above, With dreams that St. Nick would bring her somebody to love. With Aspen nestled cozy all snug in her bed; A bump in the night would fill her with dread; Something did stir from the room down below, And the dancer did wonder if it was the storm that did blow: With courage she rose from the sheets at the clatter, And crept quietly downstairs to see what was the matter. There in the darkness a Grinch grabbed her in a flash, Little did she know it was the man they called Dash. His sapphire eyes grew alight with a glow, When he realised he'd caught the girl named for the snow. His lips would remember the taste of her kiss; From the time they first met, on a cold night just like this. Now tied up in tinsel, captured beneath twinkling lights; The beautiful dancer was too tempting a sight. While shivering with fear the girl knew she was in strife; So she begged him and pleaded to spare her sweet life. Aspen with her wide eyes, golden and bright; In fuss and a flurry, put up such a good fight. Soon The Grinch could barely contain his delight, as he leaned in close to whisper; "Merry Christmas baby, I'm gonna fuck you tonight." .... ⚠️ TRIGGER WARNING⚠️ This story contains explicit erotic scenes and violent CNC (Consensual Non-Consent) BDSM themes that may be distressing to some, reader discretion is advised. "What do you mean by that?" "Spend this Christmas with me and you'll see." He smiled. Spend an entire Christmas? With him? Hell yeah! "Sure, I'd love to." His grin widened. "But I can't guarantee that it'll work." I grinned. "Challenge accepted." He smirked. We stayed like that, looking at each other with stupid smiles on our faces when unexpectedly it felt hot. His eyes stayed there and I saw his Adam's apple bobbed. He leaned in, making my breath hitch. My heart throbbed so fast that it might explode any second. I looked at his lips; they look so soft, pink, and yummy. He continued leaning his eyes darted between my eyes and lips. But Monica McCaslin didn't think she would ever be one of those people, would ever have one of those moments. Brought up in a small suburb, with everything she could ever ask for, there wasn't much left for her to want. Monica's ordinary life was to go as such- follow her high school sweetheart to college, graduate, get married, have two kids; the cookie cutter life. White picket fence included. What she did not expect was to meet a dark-haired stranger sitting all alone on a park bench, at that very same school she was to attend with said future husband. After a brief conversation, just a handful of words between them, Monica decides to go on a cross-country road trip with him; putting her faith and future in the hands of a stranger. Thinking she'd soon regret her decision and the life she left behind, she realizes she doesn't at all. Echo of the Past by KiyuMiyuu

A few months ago, I bought a mug with gold gilt. On sale. Not a gift either nor because of an occasion to remember by it. Just plain, pretty mug for 15PLN. I drank my coffee from it since. I spat loose tea leaves into it. It never felt particularly significant. An ordinary object. Only when I lost it, I realised its true value. I sat comfortably at my desk one evening. Looking at my phone, I reached to take my song-text notebook. Trivial situation. My clumsy fingers were unable to avoid the mug. They allowed it to topple over, to slip from the desktop. Even though I did not see the split-second occurrence, I felt the pressure of unease. My head painted the trajectory of the fall on its own, the shattering, spillage. The loss. For a millisecond I still had hope, that I would be able to catch the mug, that I would be able to avoid what was about to happen. But I knew I was headed for failure. I don't have any superpowers. I only scalded my fingers. I looked at the mug's new shape for a long while, at the shattered pieces. At the spilling liquid. Our adventure came to an end. Irrevocably. I won't be drinking coffee from it anymore, nor spit tea leaves into it. Well. I shouldn't be sad, it was just a regular mug, just like thousands of others. I grew to like it, it kept me company throughout hundreds of warm drinks. I lost it. I hate this feeling the most. In the moment when I am losing something, I stop in my tracks, I hold my breath. It is always a very intense moment. A short one, but one that gives me the tight unpleasant feeling in my stomach. The feeling of loss is always accompanied by hope. Silly and naïve. Making me believe so strongly, that I can make it. That I will still be able to catch the mug mid-flight. When the feeling is entering the body, crawling into me I realise, how important it was to me. Whether it's Nivan or a stupid mug with gold gilt.
