The Civil War is raging, tearing the north and south apart, dividing families and destroying the country. Grace is a southern woman who has had to face the injustice that her parents find to be acceptable. To them slavery and subjugation are the right of the southern plantation owners. When Grace is abused, watches her brother get murdered and her best friend, a slave, get beaten for nothing, Grace decides its time to make a stand.
